These intermediate classes are perfect to improve your game. We'll spend one hour learning more about mahjong and then an hour in guided open play so that you can practice what you learned! All supplies provided.
What to expect in a beginner class with Let's Learn Mahjong!
A day or two before class watch your email for a welcome. This will give you details about the venue, parking and anything specific to the class you signed up for.
You do not need to bring anything other than eyeglasses if you need them to see both up close and far away. On the day of class, seats will be assigned to assure we have at least 3 or 4 people at each table. If you listed a friend on your registration or if you registered for a table of 4 you can expect that you will be seated together.
After a quick introduction we will dive into the lesson. Here is the agenda for a beginner lesson:

What is covered in a beginner lesson?
We teach the basics of how to play American Mahjong including what all the tiles are, how to deal, and break down all the complicated rules in an easy to understand way. We play a complete game from start to finish to get hands-on experience.
Are private parties available?
Yes! We host private mahjong parties tailored to your group’s skill level and interests. Mahjong makes a great team building activity and a fun outing for social groups!
Do you recommend products?
We've done the research and tell you what we've learned but there's no obligation to purchase anything! Our focus is on quality, reasonably priced products. Fun doesn't have to frilly or expensive!
How long are lessons?
Sessions are scheduled for 2 hours but sometimes last a little longer
Can I get help with game strategy?
Definitely! Come to one of the intermediate Mahj Lab classes where you can elevate your game, get all your questions answered and hone your mahjong skills!
